This was achieved by Corinne's mother with the help
of her daughter Dana.
Dana cut off all contact with her father when her father divorced her
mother. The (male) judge said "You are both good parents", and
Corinne should have half her time with mother and half with her father. Freda
heard him say this.
This led to the idea of "contact", It
was well known that a mother denied "contact" with impunity. No court
would ever enforce an order for contact, as Dana, a lawyer, will surely know.
Then in came the charge of child sexual abuse, which Corinne once said
she knew about, but did nothing about.
A male social worker came from Brighton to St. Albans to discuss the
charges. The St. Albans Quakers sent a representative to discuss the charges

You, Dana, helped your mother to cut off your very young sister Corinne
from her father, a terrible thing to do. In a careless moment you sent me a
card from eastern Europe saying you were travelling in
eastern Europe with your young sister Corinne.
It is obvious that the moment you gained control of your very young
sister Corinne, you should have brought her to her father. Why did you not? Did
you believe the charges by Nick?

I’ve already said, Ivor, many, times, that nothing bad happened
to me. Beyond that, I simply don’t know. I don’t know what happened between
other people. I only know of my own experience.
You said in another email that you’d ‘written me off’. I’m different
from you in that way: I’ve never written anyone off and I won’t, and I won’t
write you off. It’s not how I deal with people. This includes my two little little children. No matter what they do in their
lives, I will never, ever write them off.
Having said that, I don’t want to ever receive any more emails like this
from you, Ivor. That means; dragging over the problems from the past, anything
about the family courts, things that ‘need to be said’. I’m not saying you
can’t talk about it, but please leave me out, if you choose to do so. I’m
‘opting out’ of this type of email. I’m happy to receive other kinds of emails
from you. Always have been.
I remember the kind things you did when I was little,
there were lots of happy times. I won’t forget them. Climbing
mountains, visiting the London museums. You taught me how to swim. You
always told me when you found a hedgehog in the garden, and made sure I got to
see it, even if it was past bedtime. I remember all of it, and, as a parent, I try to be like you were in those ways; bringing
adventure and magic. I was lucky. Nothing bad happened to me, lots of good
things happened, too. Thank you for all of those things.

Dear all,
Freda was an extremely intelligent and wonderful lady. More intelligent than you are. She could not have been a
better mother, wife, friend or companion. Or as John Dore described her …”I
think the of her as a “lady above the rest, a lady of
great quality”. She was never coercive and did all she could to support you and
your career in every possible way, including proof reading your books and even
adding all the Alice in Wonderland quotes at the beginning of the chapters of
‘The Catt Concept’.
She was extremely clever, friendly, fun, kind and cheerful.
It was a great tribute to her that after her untimely death in 2006 she
required three funerals/memorials , as there were simply
too many people to invite in order to fit in any venue, Church, Quaker Meeting
House or Village Hall.
Her friends were lifelong;- From her earliest school days, to fellow
students of Law at Kings College London University and from her Law Lecturing
at London University, St.Albans FE and as head of
educational guidance for adults at Hertfordshire University, from her MA
course at Sussex University to her later years as a Governor of a Quaker
School, her role as Elder at Lewes Quaker Meeting and her active role at the
Archbishop of Canterbury’s Synod on Spirituality amongst the Christian Faiths
of England, in the U3A and with her English Literature and Art courses and Playreading and as a devoted grandmother to her two
grandsons.
In marked contrast to my mother you have to do what you can in a limited
amount of time to make amends for your appalling
treatment of your wife and four children. I also believe you have treated
friends such as Eugen, Jenny Harbridge, John Dore and Archie Howie ( to name but a few!) in a disgraceful manner.
Do not waste this time.
This week I have copied your own letter stating clearly that you wished
to remove me from the UK state system of education. It was your choice. For the
last 17 years you have constantly lied saying that
Freda had demanded this and that you would never have left the state system.
You lied in saying that the cost of our education had almost bankrupted you.
Corinne received a full 100% scholarship to Christ’s Hospital. This even included uniform, boarding fees and book allowances.
Malcolm and Graham received full 100% scholarships to their respective schools
also.
We can say that you constantly lie, or that you
are an old man and constantly get your facts wrong. The choice of definition is
up to you.
You manner is coercive, cruel and rude. Your emails have an unpleasant
and bullying tone.
You have time to change your ways. To apologise for
your behaviour to all of us.
It is not too late.
On the subject of coercive behaviour you repeatedly demanded that my
mother must sign over ownership of the house to a group of venture capitalists
which would have left us all homeless had the venture gone wrong. You bullied
her and made her life hell. She was brave and true and held out. That is why we
had a home to live in.
Please go to church or quaker
meeting or counselling or confession and make your place good before us or your
God while there is still time.
We will all have a chance to forgive you.

Freda was losing control of the family, and would destroy the family
rather than lose control of it. Her destruction was very effective.
It included getting a secret court to evict her eldest son on a
(presumably false) charge of domestic violence. This traumatised him.
Freda had 20 people who described themselves as her best friend. They
were lame ducks, and not being a lame duck, I was not a proper associate of
Freda. Apparently they assembled in a "Memorial Service" for Freda. Extraordinary.

cases in which husbands coerce their wives into agreeing to give venture
capitalists a lien over the family property. If the wife
refuses the husbands becoming toxic and aggressive.
In each of the bank cases the wives were forced into agreeing to sign
over their interest in the property.
In each case the husband’s business failed.
All law students are
taught that the number one financial duty of a mother is to ensure that there
is a house over the heads of the children.

Pathetic nonsense Ivor.
You were very very dominant and often
extremely cruel.
I remember with sadness when we were young and all sitting around the
dining table. You threw my mother’s payslip across the table at her and said
“This is the pittance that you bring in”.
You humiliated my mother constantly. You also were exceptionally cruel
to my eldest brother, Malcolm.
After he had braces fitted on his teeth he found it hard to eat. You
made him sit on the floor to eat his meals saying “If you eat like an animal
then you have to eat off the ground like an animal”.
You were extraordinarily unkind.
My mother tried so hard, all I can imagine is that you were jealous of
her and her ability. She was never sacked from any job. You were sacked from
all your posts as far as I can recall.
You somehow felt you were in competition with her instead of allies.
Please try to see the error of your ways. It is not too late. Please
pray or seek counselling.
I am grateful that you helped to feed and clothe me until I was 17. I am
grateful that you encouraged my sport and paid my school fees jointly with my
mother when Herts county council voted to end the assisted place scheme. This
meant that although I came top on one of the four entrance exam papers out of
1200 candidates and scored very highly in the other three papers, no
scholarships were available. You have never let me forget this and have
constantly moaned all my life that we all “tried to bankrupt you”.
All your other three children were entirely free for their secondary
school education, that is from the age of eleven onwards.
People are generally kind and forgiving.
Please seek forgiveness whilst there is time.
Please apologise for your constant and disgraceful attacks on my mother.

A few months before, Katsman had got excited about
Spiral, and talked about getting a consortium together to finance and develop
it. He was the London representative of a major New York firm of lawyers with
interest in hi-tec investment. However, my wife Freda
had scuppered that negotiation by trying to take control. Her technique was to
tell K that I had mental problems and so he should negotiate with her.
Foolishly, K responded with enthusiasm to this development, presumably feeling
that with the inventor and his wife divided, he could control the project and
clean up. Both Freda and K should have realised that with the inventor himself
discredited, the project had no future.
I would have dearly loved to be in a position to bid up K against Sinclair, and
so create a market for my Spiral patents. However, this was scuppered by the
enemy within, Freda. So I faced Sinclair from a position of weakness. However,

Even before the K debacle, I had recognised the enemy within who first showed
her colours clearly over the Heaviside biography. My career path was built
around the discoveries in electromagnetism by an extraordinary engineer Oliver
Heaviside. He had worked on his own for some decades a century ago, and his
brilliant work had then been forgotten until I

stumbled on it. My career development required that Heaviside be revived. The
discovery of an unpublished biography written in 1950 by his best friend Searle
would be a major element in the resuscitation of Heaviside. I had completed
editing this biography with Freda's help some years ago, but then she had
blocked its publication giving specious reasons. This was the first clear
evidence that she was attacking my career, which had begun to nourish her envy.

I was 14 when Corinne was born and left home in June 1984 when I was
still seventeen. I never returned to live with either of my parents after that
date. I have supported myself entirely financially from that date onwards for
the rest of my life and whilst I have not had much money and most of our
accommodation has been rented, I am proud that I have never succumbed to
bullying by you or anyone else.
The only money I received from you after I left school was the one year
in which you were forced by the government to pay a parental
contribution towards my University fees.
You bullied me and threatened that you would not pay this contribution
unless I did what you told me to do. I refused.
I was forced to go onto campus at the start of my second year at University
not knowing if I would have to give up my course.
This was shocking bullying.
I was never involved with your nonsense.
I cannot be blamed for your nonsense and nor can Corinne.
You treated us all disgracefully and with great cruelty.
You have no excuse.

On another occasion Dana (verbally) said she should thank me for paying
for her education at the private “Haberdasher’s Girls’ School”.
I was only an engineer, so I could not pay for the schooling of all my three
(later four) children. However, our two first children won free places in two
of the then (among the) top (for academic results) 20 private schools,
Haberdashers’ and St. Albans. My wife argued that we should pay for our third
child, Dana, to go to a top private school, so we did. (Engineers could not afford
to pay for any of their children to go to public (i.e. private) schools. In my second book “Computer Worship” I discuss the class
origins of engineers.)

off from your children, all four of us.
I wrote
to you several times a year begging you to at least send a card to Corinne. You
did not phone her, see her or write to her from the age of nine onwards. Despicable cruelty.
Your
